The Board of Chunty Commissioners met October ~, 1924, v~[tn ~he follow- <br />ing members present, J. Lee White, ~hairman, W. M. Morrison, Ray W. <br />Cline and H. L. Fink. Absent~ C. M. Crowell. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Ray W. Cline and seconded b~ Homer L. Fink that J. <br /> <br />Lee White be given authority ~o erect tablet on front of Cpurt House. <br /> <br />Motion was made by W. M. ~orrison and seconded by Ray W. Cline that <br /> <br />J. Lee White be given authority to have Cou_Bnty Home lights chang@d from <br />D~k~ Power Company to Board of ~ight and ~ater Commissioners of Concord <br />and to have flood light affixed to Court House and also to have clock <br />lighted in Court House tower. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Ray W. Cline and seconded by W. M. Morrison that <br />audit as presented by ~ank P. Buck Company for the year 1~43-1~44 <br />be accepted. <br /> <br />Motion waS made by W. M. Morrisom and seconded by Homer L. Fink that <br /> <br />C. N. Field, County ~ccountaut be authorized to hire help to send out <br /> <br />cards to delinquent tax payers. <br /> <br />Motion was made by W. M. Morrison and seconded by Kay W. Cline that <br /> <br />the following a~plications to sell beer be approved~ <br /> <br />C. D. t~ileman and Boyce Starnes. <br /> <br />~otion was made by Ray W. Cline, and seconded by Homer L. Fink that <br /> <br />J. Lee '~hite, Chairman of Board~ and John R. Boger, Clerk to Board, <br />be authorized to sign agreement with City of Concord regarding Air <br />Port. <br /> <br />Motion was made by W. M. Morrioson ~ud seconded by Ray W. Cline a~ho- <br /> <br />rizing J. Lee ~hite to sign check for payment of land for Air Port <br /> <br />after deed is passed on by Hartsell and Hartsell, County Attorneys. <br />Motion was made by N. M. Mor~ison and seconded by Ray W. Cline that <br />L. E. Bernhardt be aut~orized to draw motion endorsing U. ~, O. <br /> <br /> "WHEREAS, October 9, 1944, has been designated by the A~ational War <br /> <br />Fund Service as the opening date for the 0nited War Fund Drive; and <br />whereas, the funds contributed ~o the 0nited ~¥ar Fund are used by the <br />National War Fund ~ervice~ for causes worthy of the support of the <br /> <br />people of Cabarrus County, <br /> <br /> NOW, T.~EREFOFJ~, WE, the.
