MINUTES OF BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CABARHUS COUNTY <br /> <br /> Date: October 1, 1945 <br /> <br /> At a meeting of the Board of County Commlssion~rs of <br /> <br />Cabarrus Gounty held on the 1st day of October, 1945, the fo~lowtn~ <br />members Were present, the same being a quorum of said board: <br />Messrs: W M Morrtson, Homer L Fink, Ray W Cline, J Lee <br /> . <br />I White, Chariman, Absent. C M Crowell <br /> <br /> The following resolution was offered by Mr. W. M. Morrlscn <br /> <br />and seconded by Mr. Homer L. Fink. <br /> "Reaolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Cabar~s <br />County: <br /> <br /> (1) That in order for the schools in Oabarrus County <br /> <br />and City school administrative units to provide low cost <br />lunches for the school children of said administrative units <br />and in order that funds may be made quickly available to sup ly <br />the casual deficits incurred by the schools, it is necessary$ <br />to obtain an advance of funds from the State Board of ~ucat~on <br />as provided in Ch. 777 of Session Laws of 1945. <br /> <br /> (2) That the Board of County Commissioners of Cabarrus <br /> <br />County does herebyauthorize and ap ply for an advance not to <br />exceed 80% of each monthly claim of .... County and ..... <br />City school administrative units for said purpose from the <br /> <br />Btate Board of Education. The said County Board of Commissi, mrs <br /> <br /> does hereby authorize the State Board of Education to credl~ <br /> <br />any funds coming into its hands from the Federal Government <br /> <br />for use in the lunchroom program against any claim which th, <br /> <br />Stat <br /> e card may have for funds advanced to Oabarrus Count}~ <br /> <br />and ... ~ity school administrative units. <br /> <br /> (3) That the funds advanced to '...,.. City administra- <br /> <br />tive unit pursuant to this resolution may be paid directly t( <br /> <br />the Treasurer of the City School administrative Unit. <br /> <br /> (4) That the Board of County Commissioners of Oabarrus <br /> <br /> County does her.~by pledge the faith and credit of said Count' <br /> in accordance with Section 4 of Article V of the Oonstitutlo <br /> of the State o~ North Carolina for the repayment of any ad- <br /> <br />rules and regulations of said State Board of Education." <br /> The resulution was duly adopted by the following vote: <br /> Those voting in the Affirmative were; <br /> <br />Messrs: J Lee White, Chairman <br /> W.
