The Board of Commissionere for the County of Cabarrus met in regular <br /> <br />session on May 6, 1946 at 10~30 o'clock A. M. at the Courthouse, in <br /> <br />Concord, North Carolina, the usual pla~e of meeting. <br /> <br />Present~ Chairman J. Lee White and Colehissionera W. M. Morrison, H. L. <br /> <br />Fink, C. M. Crowell, and ~. W. Cline. <br /> <br /> Commissioner W. M. Morrison introduced the following bond order <br /> <br />Icing County bonds, which was read~ <br /> <br /> 0R[~ AUTHORI~.I~G $870,OO0 <br /> SCHOOL BUILDING BOI/DS. <br /> <br /> Ww~_.~a, the Trustees of the Kann&p01is City Administrative Unit ha~e <br /> <br />certifLe~ to this Board a resolution paase~ by said Trustees on M~y S, <br /> <br />1946, showing that it is necessary in or,er ~ maintain the conetitutie~al <br /> <br />six months' school term <br /> in said Kannapolis City,Administrative Unit to <br /> <br />large and equip certain school buildings as set forth in said resolution~ <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> WHE~EA3= the Trustees of the Concord City Administrative Unit have <br /> <br />!certified to this Board a resolution passed by said Trustees on May 4, 1~46 <br />showing that it is necessary in order to maintain the constitutional six. <br />months' school term in auld Concord City Administrative Unit to enlarge <br />iereot °er~ain sshool buildings and qequire necessary equipment as set forth <br />in said resolutionI and <br /> <br /> WII~S, the Board of Education of Cabarrua County has certified to <br /> <br />this B°ard'a resolution pasied by said BSard of E~uoation on May, 6, <br />showing that it is necessary in order to maintain the constitutional <br />lmonth~' school term in the Cabarrus County Administrative Unit to enlarg <br />!and erect certain school buildings and &squire necessary equipment in <br /> <br />lsaid Cabarrus County Administrative Unit aa set forth in aai~ resolution~ <br /> <br />i in addition to the uohool impFovments men~ioned in the resolutions of <br /> <br />isai~ Kannapo~is City Administrative Unit and said Concord City Administrative <br /> <br />I Unit; and <br /> <br /> ~[HEAEA~, the Board of Commissioners for the 0ounty of Cabarrus baa <br /> <br />l oarefully examined the hots and has determined, and hereby ~inds as a <br /> <br />fact that said statements of said resolutions are true and that it has become <br />the duty of said Board of Commissioners, acting as an administrative <br />of the Orate in provi~ing a stase system of public schools, to or,er the <br />issuance of a sufficient amount of County bonds 8o that said school buil- <br />~ings may be enlarged ~r~ ereote6 and the necessary equipment acquired, <br />in order to ~aintain the constitutional six months' school term in Cabar~us <br />County~ now, therefore, ' <br /> <br /> BE IT 0RDE~ED AND ~F~0LVED by the Board of ~ommisaioner8 for the <br /> <br /> County of Cabarrus, <br /> <br /> 1.
