Cline introduced the following resolution which was rea, ~: <br />RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE PUBLICATION OF THE STATEMENT OF THE RESULT OF THE SPECIAL EI~- <br /> CTION ~LD JULY 2, 1946. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Boarg of ~ommissioners of the County of Cabarrus: ~ ! <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Board. of Commissioners has prepared and does adopt the following <br /> <br />statement of the result of the special election held in the County of Cabarrus oD July 2,1946: <br /> <br /> RESULT OF SPECIAL ELECTION <br /> <br /> in the <br /> <br /> COUNTY OF CABARRUS, NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br /> HELD JULY 2, 1946. <br /> <br />At a special election held July 2, 1946 throughout Cabarrus County, North Caroli.xa, the <br />following questions were ~ubm~ted to the qualified registered voters of said C~barras <br />County: <br /> <br /> 1. Shall an order finally passed May 20, 1946, authorizing not exceeding $8!0,000 <br /> School Building Bonds of Cabarrus County for enlarging a~d erecting school ~uildin~s <br /> ini said County and acquiring necessary equip~mnt, a~d a tax for said bonds, be <br /> approved? <br /> 2.1 Shall an ad valorem tax not exceeding ten cents (10~) on each $100 asse ~sed va~ue <br /> of real and personal property in the County of Cabarrus be levied to provid! supple- <br /> me xtal funds for the suppor~ of schoold in the County? <br /> <br /> 12 ~2 ~oters were registered and qualified to vote at said election. <br /> <br /> 92 votes were cast in favor of question numbered 1, and 5,9 votes were~ cast <br /> <br /> against said question, and the bond order mentioned in question numbered~ 1 was tl~ereby <br /> <br />approve and is in ~orce and effect. <br />I~~ 91 votes were cast in,aver of question numbered 2, and 70 votes were '~ast aglinst <br /> said qu ~stion, and the ad valorem tax mentioned in question numbered 2 was thereby approved. <br /> BY ORDER of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus, this 4tl~ day ~f <br /> <br /> J.
