On motion of W. M. Morrison, seconded by C. M. Crowell, W. F. Daniels, War VE ~eran, was granted peddlers license for fruit and vegatables On motion by H. L. Fink, seconded by W. M. Morrison, Eugene A. Robbins was ap ~ointed Veterans ~ervice Officer for Cabarrus County, salary $3,400.00 pe year. There being no further business the Board adjourned to meet again A~gus 4, 19~.7. to A regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabar~s con- vented at the Codrthouse in Concord, North Carolina, on August 4, 1947, at 10 9~!clock A.M. Present: Chairman J. ~ee -~'hite and Commissioners C. M. Crowell, H. L. Fi~, and Ray W :line. Abeent: W. M. Morrison. Commissioner Ray W. Cline intruduced the following bond order aut~horizin County bonds, which was read: o mm A rHOUZ NG COURTHOUSE BONDS BE IT O~ AND EESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for the County Cabarm:s: I.Tha~ Courty Act, as amended, bonds of Pursuant to the Finance Cabarru~ Countylbe issued in an amount not exceeding $500,000 for the purpose of remodel: ag the Cabarr~s County Courthouse and erecting and equipping an addition . That a tax sufficient to pay the principal and interest of said bonds ~'hen due sh 11 be annually levied and collected. . That a statement of the County debt has been filed with the clerk and .s open to pub iic inspection. ~. That thi~ e=~er shalltake effect when approved by the voters of the Co nty at an ele ~.tion as provided by law. The Board thereupon designated the County Accountant as the officer te ~ke and file w ~th the clerk the statement of debt and assessed valuation required by th~ County Financ ~ Ant, as amended, to be filed before the final ~ ~f the ~ e~er this day in' ~r~duced. Thereupon the County Accountant filed with the clerk in the presense of he Boar the st~tement of debt and assesse~ ~aluation aa required by said Act. The order authorizing $500~0OO Courthouse Bonds w~s thereupon passed on irst | readin ~. And thereupon the Board fixed 10:00 o'clock A M August 18, 1947 as the d~ be an~ hour f .r the public hearing as required by the County Finance Act as amended amc directed the clerk to publish the ~nd order which had been intrmduced this day together ~ith th~ appended note ~s required by said Act, in the Concord Tribune, not later than t~ tenth| day before the said date.
