Any person, firm, association or corporati~l. <br /> <br /> Sectiol 2. Zones. : designated; when meters to be operated. <br /> Between the hours of 9:00 A. M. and 5:00 P. M. except on Sundays and le al <br /> holidays, the following streets in Kannapolis are hereby designated as <br /> parking meter zones: <br /> West Avenu. e~ between l~est First Street and West "B" Street, both sides, <br /> and both sides of center parkway. <br /> "A". Stree.t, between Main Street and Oak Street, both sides. <br />i ~ I Southern Avenue, between Second Street and ¥~est "B" Street, both sides. <br /> <br /> _ Oak Street, between West First Street and West "B" Street, both sides. <br /> In the/foregoing zones where parking has heretofore been permitted or may here- <br /> after ~e permitte, such parking shall be regulated by parking meters or by signs <br /> <br /> erecte( in the manner hereinafter set forth. <br /> <br /> Sectiox 3. Marking parking spaces adjacent to meter; manner of pa~king. <br /> In the places where parking is permitted in said zones, the sheriff of <br /> Cabarrus County is directed to have marked off and maintained parking <br /> spaces either parallel or diagonal to the curb, said spaces to be of <br /> such size as may be necessaryfor the convenient and orderly parking of <br />t vehicles. It shall be unlawful fe~ any vehicle to be pa~ked in such <br />~ manner that its dimensions are not e~tirely within .a parking space as <br /> marked off. <br /> Sectio~ 4. Installation and operation. <br /> A parking meter shall be pla~ed on the curb or sidewalk immediately to <br /> each parking space herein described, and shall be used to regulate park~.ng <br /> in that space. Each meter shall display a signal clearly showing legal <br /> parking upon deposit therein of the properi.leoin as haraa~r.~provided; <br /> said legal praking signal shall remain in full view until the expiratior <br /> of the legal parking period, at which time the signal shall clearly in- <br /> dicate illegal parking. <br /> Sectio~ 5. Coin to be depo. si.%ed; effect of deposit of coin; grace period; o. vert~ me park .ng. <br />~ As soon as any vehivle is parked next to a parking meter during the tim~ s <br /> <br /> provided in section 2 of this resolution, the owner, operator, or perso~ ., <br /> in control of the said vehicle, shall deposit in said meter a five cent <br /> coin of the United States which shall allow the vehicle to remain legally <br />~-~ parked for one hour, or a one cent coin of the ~nited States which sha~ 1 <br /> allow the vehicle to remain legally parkes fortwelve minutes.
