adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the Count of Cabarr~s convened at th~ County Courthouse in Concord, Horth Carolina, the usual~ place of mee lng, at ll;00 o'clock, A. ~!. on July 2, 19~8. Present: Chairman J: .L.e.e. ~ite , and Commissioners H. L. Fink, P. E. Sta].lings and R. W. Cline. Absent: C. N. Crowell After calling the meeting to order and after the Clerk has called the roi 1, the member: of the Board of Co~issioners for the County of Oabarrus sat at the tab[~e at which he County Board of Elections was holding~its meeting and thereupon said ~ounty Board ~f Elections and said Board of Commissioners, as two separate bodies, sep~rately receiv ~d from the registrars and judges of election in the various precincts of .the County of Cabarrus the returns of the special bond election held June 30, 19~8. After said returns had been canvassed by said Board of mCommissioners, berg sim- ultane~,usly with the canvassing thereof by the County Board of Elections in the same place, Commissioner _H. L. Fink introduc~dlthe following resolution, which was read: RESOLUTION CANVASSING THE RETURNS OF A SPECIAL BOND ELECTION HELD JLU,~ ~9~ AND DETERNIN1/,~G T}E RESULT THEREOF. BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus: Section 1. That the returns of the special bond election held June 30, 1!'~8 having been received from the proper election officers and the Board having can~assed the s~ ~e, the following facts are hereby found and determined: (a) That each registrar and judge for the special bond election held in ,he County of Cabarrus on June 30, 19k8 was duly qualified by law and had tal ~en the necessary oath. (b) That the election officers had incorporated in their returns not onl the number of votes cast for and against the question submitted, but als the number of ~oters registered and qualified to ~ote in each precinct i'. the election: (c) That at said election there was submitted to the~ qualified voters of said County the following question: Shall an order finally passed April 19, 19~8, authorizing not exceeding $1,h67,000 School Building Bonds of Cabarrus County for the purpose of providing funds for enlarging and erecting school buildings in said Court' ;y and acquiring necessary equipment, and a tax for said bonds, be approved' Section 2. That the following schedule correctly shows the designations f the severa' precincts in which such election was held, the number of ~oters registe 'ed and~ qualif ed to ~ote in each precinct in the election the number of votes cast in ~ach precin ~t in favor of the question submitted, the number cast against said quest ~on, th number of spoiled ballots, and the totals of such numbers: D
