The BOard of County Commissioners met at their regular meeting March 7, 1949 at the Courthouse in Cabarrus County with the following members present: J. ~Lee ~hite, Chairaan, Hay W. Cline, Homer L. Fink, P. Ernest Stallings, and C. ~. Crowell. Absen ~- None Moticl~ mady by Ray W. Cline seconded by C. M. Crowell that state Highway and P,,blic Works co~mission .improve and maintain road in No. 1 Township from Highwa~ No. 27 to Flowe 3 Store road, Hard surface in No. 4 Township from Oakwood Ave to Oriole ~oad abou~ 6/10 mile. Surface treat road from Sechlers Store to New Bethpage road about four ailes, Take over and maintain Willow Drive in No. 4 Township..Tak.e over amd main~ ~in ~ado-£rOmiPark Drive to Roberta Road about 4/10 mile, take over and maintain road from Mecklenburg county line to dead end near R.
