The Board of County commissioners met at a special meeting August 23, <br /> <br />1949 wi~h the following members present: J. Lee Whi{e, chairman, <br />Homer L. Fink, Ray W. gline and P. Ernest Stallings. <br /> <br />Abeent; C. M. Crowell <br /> <br />At the call meeting of the Board of County Comaissioners of Cabarrus <br /> <br />County held Jointly with the Highway ~ommission for this district, the <br />~{ighway program was gone over and upon motion by Ray W. gline and second, md <br />by Homer L. Fink the program was approved unanimously by the commissione ~s <br /> <br />with the exception of changes in projects #20-22-25. Also approved were ;he <br />projects set up by the State Highway and Public Work~ commission which I ill <br />be let fixer. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Homer ~.. Fink seconded by Ray W. Cline that id. C. <br />~ig~ commission be reqm~sted .to ~lace caution light on railroad near <br />~risburg School. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Ray W. Cline seconded by P. Ernest Stallings that Tho ~s <br />Caleb ~eadling be given free peddlers licenses on account of being disab Led. <br />Free peddlers licenses also wa~ given to John W. Robinson to sell colore, <br />papers in Kannapolis on account of being totally blind. <br /> <br />Being no further business the board adjoined to meet at the regular <br /> <br />meeting September 6, 1949. <br /> <br /> <br />
