The Board of County Commissioners held their regular meeting ~'~Apr~tl 2, 1951 with the following <br />members present: <br /> <br /> J. Lee White, chairman, Homer L. Fink~ M. Smoot Lyles, P. Ernest Sta~lings <br /> and L. Bowman Barrier. <br /> Absent- None <br /> <br />Motion by L. Bowman Barrier seconded by P. Ernest Sta~lings, that State Highway and rublic ~orks <br />commission be requested to take over ~oad in No. 2 Township from Cedar Grove Road to J. i. Johnsto$ <br />Road. Scrape and gravel road from Mooresvi±le road to dead end. Take over and maintain road ~re~.~! <br />Gold Hill Road to Mt. Pleasant Road, Widen and gravel road from Caleb W. Bost Road to eohn Boger <br />Road. Scrape and gravel road from Hileman road to v~ill Mul±is Road. Tar and gravel road from <br />Cadillac road to Caldwell St. Take over and maintain road from Mooresville Road to dead end. Take <br />over and maintain Co-~ntry Club Drive in No. 4 Township. <br /> <br />Motion by Homer L. Fink seconded by P. Ernest Sta~lings that State Highway and Public ~orks <br /> <br />Commission be requested to s~rface treat the drive way at the following school. Odell School <br /> <br />~Ninecoff School, Royal Oaks School, Mt. Pleasant School, Bethel School, Harrisburg School, A. T. <br />Alien School, and Shankletown School. <br /> <br />Motion by M. Smoot Lyles seconded by L. Bo, man Barrier that Charles N. Field be reappointed <br />County Auditor for two years. <br /> <br />Motion by P. Ernest Stallings .that J. Lee White, M. Smoot Lyles, Homer L. Fink and Robert C. Harri <br />be appointed as equalization Board and have authority to act. <br /> <br />The Board of EquaLization met at the County Cextrthouse in Concord, N. C. at 3 P. M. on April 2, <br />1951 with MrS. J. Lee White, P. E. Stallings, M. Smoot Lyles ~c~Homer L. Fink, and Bowman Barrier <br />present. <br /> <br />T~e Board ~ppointed a committee consisting of J ~ee %~hite, Smoot Lyles, Homer Fink, P E Stallings <br />C N Fiel~ and ~ C Harris to inspect the property of Misses Adele and Mary Pemberton and the <br />~rnCotton Oil Co to determine whether an adjustment in the value of t he above mentioned pro- <br /> <br />perty should be made. <br /> <br />The board unanimously voted to reduce the valuation cZ the house of Misses Adele and Mary Pembertc <br />at 166 N. Church St. from $4000. to $3000, <br /> <br />Th~ Board voted uD~nimously to reduce the valuation of the Plant and bui~tding of the Southern <br />Cotton Oil Co on B~alo St. ~. $2400.00. <br /> <br />Being no further business the board adjorned. <br /> <br /> <br />
