The Board of County Commissioners held a Special Call meeting September 25, 1951 i~th the followin <br />members present: <br /> <br /> J. Lee White, chairman, M~ Smoot Lyles~ P. E. Stallings, and L. Bowman Barrier. ~ <br /> absent- Homer L. Fink <br /> <br />Motion by ~. Bowman Barrier seconded by P E Stallings that W. D. Lee, Jr. be appointed Deputy <br />Tax Collector as of October 1, 1951. Salary $3900.00 a year. VoteA and passed. <br /> <br />Motion by M. S. Lyles seconded by L. Be-w~an Barrier that the county buy Surity bond for deputy <br />tax collector in the amount of $40,000.00. Voted and passed. <br /> <br />Motion by Lyles seconded by P E Stallings that 1951 tax books be delivered to collector as aoem <br />as settlement of 1950 taxes are made and also all land sales and insolvents taxes be delivered <br />to collector and charged to tax collector and allpersonal property tax for 1925 and prior years <br />be charged off. Voted unamfnously. <br /> <br />Motion by M.-S. L~.~les seconded by P. E. Stallings whatever permission given Nugh Tucker (Tuck's <br />Tavern) by Cabarrus County Commissioners for operating leud speaker is hereby withdrawm and to l be <br />effective as of October 8, 1951.
