~he Board of County Commissioners held a special meeting March 10, 1752 at the County Health <br /> <br /> Department with the following report - <br /> <br /> A special meeting of the Board of County Commissioners of Cabarrus County N. C. was held on Monda~ <br /> March 10, 1952 at l0 o'clock A. M. in the office of the County Health Officer with the following <br /> members present: J. Lee White, chairman~ H~. L. Fink, P. E. Stallings, M. S. Lyles and L. Bowman <br /> Barrier. <br /> <br /> Upon mot~n made by L. Bowman Barrier and seconded by P. E. Stallings the following resolution wa~ <br /> <br /> adopted by unanimous vote of the commissioners; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Cabarrus County , N. C. that a Rabies In- <br /> spector and a Dog Wa~den be appointed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 931 of t he <br /> Session Laws of North Carolina, 1951; that the Rabies Inspector and Dog Warden shall be appointed <br /> by the Board of County Commissioners upon the advice of the County Health Officer and shall <br /> serve under the supervision of the County Health Department for such period of time as the Board <br /> of County Commissioners may desire; that all vaccine shall be purchased through the offices of th~ <br /> Rabies Inspector and the Cabarrus County Health Department and shall be approved by the Rabies <br /> Inspector and the County Health Officer; andthat the fee f~ vaccinating shall be $1.00 for each <br /> <br /> dog. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a committee composed of J. Lee White, Chairman of the Boar~ of County <br /> <br /> Commissioners~ J.Roy Ne~e , County Health Officer , and D. C. Beard, local Veterna~ian, shall make <br /> <br /> reco~ndations to the Board of County Commissioners a~ follows: <br /> 1. In regard to salaries or fees which shall be paid in connection with the <br /> operation of this plan. <br /> <br /> 2. For the operation of a Dog Pound. <br /> <br /> 3.
