The Board of County C~mmissioners held their regular meeting Monday June 2, 1952 at the County <br />Courthouse with the following members present: <br /> <br /> J. Lee White, chairman, Homer L. Fink, L. Bowman Barrier <br /> M. Smoot Lyles and P. Ernest Stallings. <br /> Absent; None <br /> <br />Motion was made by P. Ernest Stallings and seconded by M.~ Smoot Lyles that Parkwood Sanitation <br />District be created as follows: <br /> <br /> BEGINNING a~ a point in the western line of the Southern Railroad right of way <br /> <br /> 150 feet north of the line of a new street m~ar the antique shop and about 1050 <br /> <br /> feet north of the centerline of Mill Road; thence S. 8521 W. 330 feet to a point <br /> <br /> 250 feet from the western boundary~ of the Concord Kannapolis Highway, thence <br /> parallel to said highway and 250 feet from its western boundary S. 1521 E. 650 <br /> <br /> ft. thence S. 33½ W. 550 feet more or less to a point 150 feet north ~ the <br /> boundary of Mill Road ~nd 150 feet west of the western boundary of School Street; <br /> <br /> thence in ~.o courses parallel to School Street and 150 feet Erom it S. 20 E. <br /> <br /> 370 feet and S. 9 E. 536 feet to the centerline of Oak Ridge Drive (Also called <br /> Parkwood Street); thence S. 6~ W. 1300 feet more or less to a point in the center- <br /> line of Pless Street 150 feet from the west boundary of School Street; thence <br /> parallel to School street and 150 feet from it S. 28 3/4 W. 816 feet to Tally, s <br /> <br /> Southern boundary; thence following said boundary and crussing School Street S. 85 <br /> E. 385 ~eet to a point 150 feet east of its eastern boundary; thence parallel to <br /> it N. 28 3~ E. 1200 feet; thence S. 83 E. 1200 feet; thence N. 82 E. 510 feet more <br /> <br /> or less to a point in the eastern line of the Southern railroad right of w ay~ the <br /> northwest corner of the Dr. W. L. Emzell home lot; thence following the common line <br /> of the Dr. W. L. Ezzell home lot and that of Dr. Ezzell Jr. N. 5~½ E. 450 feet to <br /> the western line of Cannon Boulevard; thence following said western tine S. 3512 E. <br /> <br /> 235 feet t o t he southern line of Country Club Road; thence f~llowing the south line <br /> of road in three courses N. 2921 E. 750 feet, N. 24 E. 500 feet and N. 26 E. 615 feet <br /> to the center of Three Mile Branch; thence following the center of Three Mile Branch <br /> as it winds in a northwesterly direction about 1150 feet to the northern corner of <br /> "The Pir~s" subdivision; thence following the lines of th~s subdivision in a westerly <br /> direction along a small br~nch about ~S 50 feet to the eastern boundary of Cannon <br /> Boulevard; thence S. 8621 W. about 500 feet to a point in the sastern boundary of <br /> CentralAvenue in the line. of Simmons northern boundary; thence crossing Central <br /> Avenue, following Simmons' northern boundary, and crossing the Southern Railroad <br /> right of way S. 57 W. 330 feet to its western boundary; thence following said <br /> western boundary of the Southern Raf_lwoad in a curve to the point of beginning. <br /> <br />The following road petitions were passed with the Mortion by L. B~man Barrier seconded by P. E. <br />Stallings; <br /> <br /> Township 2- Road runs from Martin Lane to Helen Drive to O~off Avenue. Hardsurface <br /> or tar and gravel. <br /> <br /> <br />
