155: Special Meeting held July 20, 1953 to adopt Budget: The following members were-present- J. Lee White, chairman Homer L. Fink~ M. Smoot Lytes, ~o.~o~n Barrier and P. E. Stallings Motion by M. S. Lyles seconded by P. Ernest Stallings that W. D. Lee Jr. be authorized to collect prepaid ~axes at the rate of 875 per $100.00 until 1953 tax bco~s are officially tur~d over. Motion by P. Ernest Stallings seconded by M. Smoot Ly~ s that the following budget for the year 1953-1954 be adopted. Motion by Homer L. Fink seconded by M. Smoot Lyles that the Board of County Co~ml ssioners approve all salaries as adopted in the following 1953-54 Budget Approprations. The following motion was made by M. Smoot Lyles seconded by P. Ernest Stallings who moved its adoption- "Be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners c~ Cabarrus County, N. C. this the 2Oth day of July, 1953, that for the expense of Cabarrus Government its departments and institutions for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1954, the amounts in the following budge~ or so .much of each as may be necessary are hereby appropriated."
