IIESOLUTION OF THE NOI~TH OAI~LINA STATE ~$Al%~ OF HEALTH <br /> CREATING T~E i'ARKWOO) SANITAEY )ISTKICT <br /> IN GA~AlIEUS COUNTY, NOI%TH CA~$LINA <br /> <br /> At the special meeting of the North Carolina State Board of Health held in the city <br /> <br />of Durham on the 6th day of Marqh' , 1951, the roll call' was as follows: <br /> <br />to-wit: <br /> <br /> Present Absent <br /> <br />Dr. G. G. Dixon, President Dr. ~.o..hn LaBruce Ward <br />Dr. Hubert B. Haywood, Vice-.Preside. nt Mr. Jasper C. Jackson <br />Dr. H. Lee Large Dr. A. C. Current <br />Mrs. James B. Hunt <br />Dr. John ~. Bender <br />Dr. Ben J. Lawrence <br /> <br /> On motion of Dr. John R. Bender which was duly seconded by Dr. H. Lee Large. , <br /> <br />the following resolutions were passed creating the Parkwood Sanitary District in <br />Cabarrus County, North Carolina, all in accordance with the provisions of Ohapter 100, <br />Public Laws of 1927, and all the acts amendatory thereto: <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED: That the North Carolina State Beard of Health, upon giving due <br />consideration to the proposal to create the Parkwood Sanitary District, Cabarrus County, <br />finds the following facts in relation thereto, to wit: <br /> <br /> (A) That the petition, containing the names of over 51% of the resident freeholders, <br /> for the creation of said sanitary district as prescribed by law, was filed <br /> with the Board of Oomm~ssioners of Oabarrus County and duly approved by said <br /> Board and subsequently transmitted to the State Board of Health with the <br /> request that the proposed sanitary district be created; and that pursuant to <br /> an order of this Board duly passed by the Executive Committee, notice of <br /> the public hearing to be held by a representative of the State Board of <br /> Health .was duly given, stating the time and place of said hearing by publi- <br /> cation of the notice thereof in "The Concord Tribune,, a newspaper published <br /> in Concord, North Carolina, and having general circulation within the territory <br /> to be included in the proposed district. <br /> <br /> <br />
