Section 2. That for said election the regular registr*tion books for elections in said
<br />County shall be used and such books shall be open for the registration of voters, nsf theretofore
<br />registered, from 9 A. M. until sunset on-each day, beginning Saturday August 13, 1955 and
<br />closing Saturday, August 27, 1955. On each Saturday during such registration period such books
<br />shall be open at the polling places. Saturday, September 3, 1955, shall be Challenge Day.

<br /> Section 3. That the Clerk of the Board of Commissioners shall cause a notice to be
<br />published in The Concord Tribune at least thirty days before the election, and thereafter twice
<br />before the election at intervals of at least one weekbetween publications, reading substantially
<br />as follows:

<br /> NOTICE OF SPECIAL BOND ELECTION AND SUPPLE~TAL REGISTRATIC~
<br /> in the
<br /> COUNTY OF CABARRUS, NORTH CAROLINA
<br />
<br /> A special bond eleaction will be held throughout Cabarrus County between 6:30 A. M. and
<br />6:30 P.M.,Eastern Standard Time, on Saturday,September 10, 1955, at which there will be submitted
<br />to the qualified voters of said County the following question:
<br />
<br /> Shall an order finally passed on July 18, 1955, authorizing the County of Cabarrus, North
<br />Carolina, to contract a debt, in addition to any and all other debt which ~d County may now or
<br />hereafter have power or authority to contract, and in evidence thereof to issue School Building
<br />Bonds in an aggzegate principal amount not exceeding $2,630,000 for the purpose of providing funds
<br />with any other funds available for suchpurpose, for rerecting an additional school building and
<br />additional school plant facilities, remodeling and enlarging existing school buildings and
<br />~cquiring necessary land and equipment therefor in order to provide additional elementary and
<br />secondary school facilities in the County of Cabarrus to maintain the six months' school term in
<br />said County as required by Section 3 of Article IX of the Constitution, and authorizing the levy an
<br />collection of a sufficient tax for the payment of the principal of andthe interest on said bonds,
<br />be approved?

<br /> The question hereinabove set forth, contains a statement of the purpose for which the bonds
<br />are authorized bye'- the order referred to in said question.
<br />
<br /> If said bonds are issued a tax will be levied for the payment of the principal of and the
<br />inteest on said bonds on all taxable property in Cabarrus County.
<br />
