315 The Board of County Commissioners, Oabarrus County held their regular meeting at the Courthouse at 10:00 o'clock on November 7, 1955 ~ith the following me~bers present: Chairman- J. Lee White 0o~missioners- L.Bc~man Barrier, M.Smout Lyles,W.F~ank McCray and P.E.Stallings Motion by Frank McCray Seconded by P.Ernest Stallings that John T.Small be given free privilege license on account bf being physical disabled. Resolution passed permitting the American Legion to shoot firecrackers November 11, 1955. Motion by Frank McCray seconded by P.Ernest Stallings. Motion by P.F~nest Stallings, seconded by M.Smoot Lyles that the following road petitions be approved: No. 8 Township. road runs fro~ Hey 73 to 49. Known as Little Bea~ Ceeek. hard surface No. 2 Township. Linker Road. take over by State and Gravel No. 9 Toensip. EAndley Rinehardt Road. Put g~it where needed and maintain. No. 2 and 4Townships. Road runs from Phifer Dr. to Eva Dr. known as Ntmth Drive. Take over and maintain. Gravel No. 9 Townsip. Road runs from 741 to dead end. Request State to take over remaining.3 mile of road and put grit on it. No. 8 Township. Green Hills Dairy and Mt Pleasant Road. Grit and maintain. L. Umberger Estate, map of which is filed in the Office of Register of Deeds for Cabarrus Oounty, N.C., in Map book 6, page 76, to which reference is hereby made. 2. That it is the o~ner in fee simple and is in possession of a tract of land on the South side of Pine View Avenue and extending from Shady B~ook Road to Walnut (or Judas) Avenue, the same having been a part of the homeplace of Sam W. Oock.
