The Board of County Commissioners reel at their regular meeting on June 4, 1956 <br /> <br />at lO:O0 o'clock at the Courthouse with the followimg members present. <br /> Chairman: J. Lee White <br /> Commissioner s: <br /> <br /> Motion by L.Bowman Barrier, seconded by P:.Ernest Stallings that the following <br /> <br />road pe~.itions be passed: <br /> <br /> No. l0 Township. Roads in and in the vacinity of Midland known as Broad Railroad Avenue. <br /> Hard surface. <br /> <br /> No. 6 Township. Road runs fromRay Boers to old Gold Hill Road. Build road and gravel. <br /> <br /> No. ll Township. Road runs fromRoberta Rodd to Oakdale Drive. ~nown as Pinecrest Drive/ <br /> Hard surface. <br /> <br /> Motion by P. E.Stallings seconded by W.Frank McCray lhat the Cabazrus County Commissioners <br />endorsed the following resolution: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION <br /> <br /> Due to the hazardous condition exisling at the Hileman Mill Bridge; and, <br /> <br /> Due to the fact thai the Cabarrus County Boardof Education operates two school buses <br /> <br />over this bridge daily which are heavily loaded with children going to the Winecoff School; <br /> <br /> Be It Resolved that the Cabarrus County Board of Education petition the Cabarrus County <br />Board of Commissioners to request the State Highway and Public Works Commission to make <br />improvements on the Hileman Mill Bridge by widening it, or by constructing a new bridge. <br /> <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> Se cretary <br /> <br />Motion by P.Ernest Stallings seconded by W. Frank McCray as to the following Resolution: <br />Whereas, it appears from a petition and affidavits filed with the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Cabarrus County that Lois Nos. 5 and 6 in Block "~' of Cartersville are subjecl <br />to an old age assislance lien filed against Mary Lilly; <br /> <br /> And whereas, itlfurther appears that said property is actually the property of Lola Long <br />McCullough and has been since theyear 1919, but through error lhe record litle of said property <br />remained in the name of Mary Lilly and was subject to any liens filed againsl Mary Lilly; <br /> <br /> And whereas, it further appears to the Board thai ii would be inequitable to subject the <br /> <br />property of Lola Long McCullough to lhe lien for assistance which she did not receive; <br /> <br /> And whereas, there remains in the name of Mary Lilly other properly to~hich th said lien <br /> <br />will attach; <br /> <br /> And whereas, the Board of Public Welfare of Cabarrus County has adopted a resolution re- <br />commending thai the Connty Commissioners authorize the release of the said property from the <br />operation of the said lien; <br /> <br /> Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Cabarrus County that <br /> <br /> <br />
