393 COUNTY OF CABARRUS School Buildtn.q Bond TheCounty of Cabarrus, in theState of NorthCarolina, is justly indebted and for. value received hereby promises to pay tothe bearer or, if this bond be regfstered, to the registered owner hereof, on the lstlday of May, 19 , the principal snm of-'~ ON~ THOUSAND DOLLARS and to pay interest thereon from the date hereof at the rate. of Der centum per annum until payment of such principal/sum, such interest to the maturiYiy hereof being payable semi-annually on the first days of May and November in each year upon the presentation and surrender of th~ coupons representing such interest as the same respectively fall [due. Both the principal of and the interest on this bond are .payable at TheChase Manhattan Bank, in theBorough of Manhattan, City andState of New York, in any coin or currency of the United States of America which, at the respective dated of payment thereof, is legal tender for the payment of public and private debts. For the prompt Payment hereof, both principal and interest as the same shall fall due, the full faith and credit of said County of Cabarrus are hereby irrevocably pledged. This bond ts one of a series issued by said County, acting as an admin- istrative agent of theState of NorthCarol ina tn providing a State system of public schools, for the purpose of providing funds, with any other funds agailable for such purpose, for crrecting an additional school building and additional school plant facilities, remodeling and enlarging existing school buildings and acquirin9 necessary la,id and equipment therefor in order to maintain the six months' schoolTterm in said County as required by Section 3 of Article IX of the Constitution, and this bond is issued under and]pursuant to The County Finance Act, as amended, and th Local Oovernmenl; Act, as amended, and an order which was approved by the vote .of a majority of the qualified voters of said County who voted at an election duly. cai led and held, and resolutions duly passed by the Board of Commissioners forsatd County. It is hereby certified and recited that all acts, conditions and things required to happen, exist and be performed precedent toand in the issuance of this bond by the Constitution and laws of NorthCarolina have happened, exist and have been performed in regular 8nddue form and time as so req.utred; that provision has been made forthe levy~:a~d collection of a direct annual /tax upon:all taxable property within:said County sufficient to pay the principal of and the interest n this bond as the same shall fall due; and that the total indebtedness of said County, including this bond, does not exceed any constitutional or statutory limitation thereon. This bond may be registered as to principal along in accordance with the provisions endorsed hereon.
