And Whereas, it is the deisre of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarnus <br /> <br />to comply with ~he General Statutes of North Carolina and call a special ~ocal tax election for <br />the aforesaid purpose and to conduct same in accordance ~ith thepzovisions of the General Statutes <br />of North Carolina: <br /> <br /> IT IS THEREFORE, hereby ordered by the Board of CommissiBners for the County of Cabarrus <br />~oZth Carolina: <br /> <br /> 1. That a special local tax election be, and the same~ hereby, called to be held on Tuesday <br />February 18, 1958, between the hours of 6:30 o'clock A M and 6:30 o'clock P. M. at which time <br />there will be submitted to the qualified voters of the Concord City Administztive School Unit <br />the question as to whether there shall be levied and collected in addition to the presently <br />levied supplemental tax an additional maximum tax of twenty cents (.20) on the one hundred dollars <br />valuation of taxable property, ~ eal and personal, in the Concord City Administrative ~chool Unit <br />to supplement the current school expense funds from State and County allotments. <br /> <br /> 2. That ~eze shall be a new registration of voters for the purpose of said election, t he <br />books to be open for the registza'!.' ~n of voters from 9:00 o'clock A. M. until sunset on each day, <br />beginni~ Saturday, January 25, 1958, and clos~r~ Satulday, February 8, 1958. On each Saturday <br />during such period said registration books shall remain open at the polling places between the <br />hours set out above for the registration of voters. <br /> <br /> The Registrars shall attend the polling places with the ~egistration books on Saturday, <br />February 15, 1958 from the hour of 9:00 o'clock A M uhtil the hour of 3:00 o'clock P. M., when <br />and where the said books shall be open for the inspection of the electors of the precinct and any <br />of said electors shall beallowed to object to the name of any person appering on said books. <br /> <br /> 3. That a notice of said special local tax election and new ~egis~ration shall be <br /> <br />published in the Concord T~ibune on January 17, 1958, January 27, 1958, and February lC, 1958, <br />reading substantially as follows: <br /> <br /> "NOTICE CF SPECIAL LOCAL TAX ELECTION AND NEW REGISTRATION, GDNCORD CITY ADMINISTRATIVE <br /> SCHOOL UNIT, TO FURTHER SUPPLEMENT CURRENT SCHOOL EXP~IISE FUNDS <br /> <br /> A Special Local Tax Election will be held in the Concord City A~ministz~ive School <br /> <br />Unit of Oabazzus ~ounty, North Carolina, between the hours of 6:30 o'clock A, M and 6:30 o'clock <br />? M on Tuesday, February 18, 1958, at the polling places herein set out the purpose of which is <br />to determine the will o£ the voters in the Concord City Administrative School Unit as to whether <br />there shall be levied and collected in addition to the presently levied supplemental tax rate an <br />additional maximum annual tax of twenty cents (.20) on the one hundred dollars valuation of <br />taxable property, real and personal, in the Concord City Administrative School Unit,the purpose <br />of said tax being to fu~the~ supplement the current school expense funds £rom State and County <br />allotment s. <br /> <br /> The area of the Concord City Administrative School Unit within which the election is to be <br />held is bounded as follows: <br /> <br /> Being that boundary line cotezminus with the boundary lines of the City of Concord as <br />provided by Chapter 1055 of the 1957 Session Laws of No~th Carolina, and generally described <br />as follows: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point on the East edge of the Couthezn Railway near the corner of Wilmaz <br /> <br /> <br />
