Commissioner W.Guy Isenhour introduced the following resolution which was read:
<br /> Resolution Relating to the Creation of a Sanitary District

<br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for the County of C~barrus:
<br />
<br /> Section 1. That the Board of Commissioners has determined and does hereby find and declare:
<br /> (a) That on July 7, 1958 the following petition was received by the Board of
<br />
<br />Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus:
<br />
<br /> PETITION FOR CREATION
<br /> OF SANITARY DISTRICT
<br />
<br /> We, the undersigned freeholders within the boundaries of the territory described below
<br />respectfully petition the Board of Commissioners for the Gounty of Cabarrus, North Carolina, to
<br />take all necessary action required by Article 12 of Chapter 130 of the General Otatutes of North
<br />Carolina for the creation of a sanitary district comprising such territory, the objects proposed
<br />to be accomplished by t he creation of such district being the acquisition, construction, main-
<br />~enance and operation of a water supply and distribution system, a sewarage system, sewage dispos~ 1
<br />or treatment plant, providing adequate fire protection facilities, and such other utilities as
<br />may be necessary for the preservation and promotion of the public health and sanitary welfare
<br />within thedistrict.

<br /> All of the territory proposed to beincluded in such sanitary district is located in
<br />Cabarrus County, North Carolina, and ~he boundaries of such territory are as follows:
<br />
<br /> Beginning at a point in the western boundary of the Main Line of the mouthern Rail~oad
<br />opposite the centerline of Short Street adjoining the South side of the Franklin Mill property in
<br />South Concord, thence following said centerline of Short Street North 83 degrees West, 1500 feet;
<br />thence North 68 degrees 30 minutes West, 620 feet more or less to a point halfway between ackson
<br />Street and).the Old Charlotte Highway; thence halfway between said streets, South 47 degrees West
<br />d75 feet to the center of ~ockwell Road; thence South 55 degrees East 250 feet more or less to a
<br />point 100 feet east of Jackson Street; thence parallel to Jackson Street in two courses South 38
<br />degrees West 560 feet and South 5 degrees West 8hO feet moreor less to the center of Sunset Creek
<br />thence f~llowing said Sunset Creek downstream, following the various courses and meander sings
<br />thereof, and continuing to the western boundary of the Southern Railroad; thence following said
<br />western boundary of the railroad to the point of Beginning.
