488 <br /> <br /> Commissioner M.Smoot Lyles introduced the following resolution which was read: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ELECTING THE M~MBEH$ <br /> OF THE SANITARY DISTRICT BOARD OF <br /> THE PAHKWOOD SANITARY DISTRI~,T'.~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Paxkwood Sa~..n~ D:ist.zict was ~zeated by a resolution adopted by t he <br /> <br /> Neath Carolina State Board o.f~ Health on March 6, 1951, as corrected by a resolution adopted by <br /> <br /> Board of Health on September 11,1953; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, subsequent to,he creation of said Paxkwood Sanitary District the Board of <br /> <br /> Oommissione~s fox the County of Cabaxxus elected a sanitary district board of three members to <br /> <br /> be the governing body of said Paxkwood Sanitary District; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said' three members were elected to serve until their successors were elected <br /> <br /> and qualified; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, from time to time, vacancies on said Sanitary District Board have been filled <br /> <br /> the appointmenZtof new members by the Board of Commissioners fox the County of CabaXxus; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS., no election was held fox the selection of members to th Sanitary District <br /> <br /> Board of the Paxkwood Sanitary District at the general elections of 1954 and 1956; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, onSeptembex 2, 1958 the Board of Commissioners for the Oounty of Cabaxxus <br /> <br /> passed a resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> ~....'.~~I.O~N RATIFYING AND CONFIRMING <br /> THE APPOINTMENT OF T HE M~4BE~S OF <br /> THE SANITARY DISTRICT BOARD OF THE <br /> PARKWO~D SANITARY DISTRICT": <br /> <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS' no election was held fox the selection of members to said Sanitary District <br /> <br /> Board at the general election of 1958; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabaxxus: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the following three individuals: <br /> Glenn L Phillips <br /> L .A.Whit e <br /> W.C. Haglex, <br /> <br /> the same being residents of the Paxkwood Sanitary District and the members of the Sanitary <br /> <br /> Board of said Sanitary District whose respective appo~ltments were ratified and confirmed by said <br /> resolution adopted by the Board of Commt~ sionerds for the County of Cabazxus onSeptembe! 2, 1958, <br /> <br /> axe hereby elected and confirmed as members of said Sanitary District Board to serve until their <br /> <br /> successors axe elected and qualified. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
