The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners met at a call meeting on March 21, 1960 <br /> <br /> at the Csbarrus County Courthouse at 10:SO A M with the followin9 members present: <br /> Chairman- W. Frar~ ~cCr~y <br /> <br /> Commissioners- M.Smoot Lyles, W.Guy Ise~hour, P.Ernest Stallings a~tl L Bo~,an Barrier <br /> <br /> Motion was made'by L.Bo~mmn Barrier seconded by P.Ernest Stallin§s that Cold Water <br /> Fire Department Boundaries be approved, provided the fire Department officers give to the <br /> County Commissior~rs a letter to.the effect that they will readjust boundries effecting Allen <br /> Fire Department at their request when they are qualified for Fire protection . Listed below is <br /> the boundaries of the Cold Water Fire DistriCt:. <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point in the southern limits line of the City of Concord, N.C., and <br /> in the line of, Jackson Park Voluntary Fire District limits and runs with the line <br /> of Jackson Park Voluntary Fire District in a southerly direction about 0.~ mile to the <br /> rear cor~er of the Cold ~ater Baptist Church property; thence in a southwesterly <br /> direction with the south boundary line of Cold Water Baptist Church and with the line <br /> of Jackson Park Voluntary Fire District about 0.2 mile (1000') to a point in the <br /> center of U.S. Highway No. 601; thence in a southerly direction with the center of <br /> said highway and with the line of Jackson Park Voluntary Fire District about 0.8 mile <br /> to a point in the intersection of U.S. Highway No. 601 and N.C. Hi§hway~Eo. hg; thence ~ <br /> with the center of N.C. Highway ~o. h9 in an easterly direction about 3.0~ miles to <br /> a point in N.C. Highway No. h9 200' west ofits intersection with Cold Sprin9 Road (said <br /> point being in the line of Mt. Pleasant Voluntary Fire Distri~t~)~ thence in a northerly <br /> direction with the line of Mt. Pleasant Voluntary Fire distriCt!about 1.8~ miles to a <br /> point in N.C. Highway No. 73, being ~00' in a westerly direction from Adams Creek; thence <br /> {n a Northerly direction about 1.9 miles to a point in St. 3ohns Road, being .8~ mile <br /> from its intersection with Gol~ Hill Road;thence in a northerly direction about 0.9 mile <br />"' to a point in Gold Hill Road: bein§ ~00' southwest of its crossing of Dutch Buffalo <br /> Creek; thence in a northwesterly direction about 1.t miles toa point in Irish Potato <br /> Road'just north of Roy Casper's house~ bein~ 1.3~ miles from its intersection with <br /> Gold ~il~ Road; thence in a westerly direction 1.3 miles more or. less to a point in <br /> Sapp Road~ being .1 mite north of its crossing of Little Cold Water Creek; thence in a <br /> northQesterly direction about 1.0 mile to a point in Old Salisbury Road just north <br /> of Sherrill Edgison Resid. ence~ being 1.0~ miles in a northerly direction fromthe point <br /> where it is intersected by S~pp Road; thence in a ~esterly direction about 0.8 ~ile to <br /> a point in the intersection of Lake Concord Road and Horton Road; theme in a southwester.y <br /> direction about ~.0 miles to a~oint where it intersects with the line of Winecoff <br /> Voluntary Fire District, being 500' north of Burrage Road; thence in a southerly <br /> direction with the line of Winecoff Voluntary Fire District (said line being east of the <br /> ~orman Ate×snder Residence) about 0.2 mile to a point ~00' south of BurraDe Road; thence <br /> in a southwesterly d~rection parallel wi~h Burrage Road and~ith the line of Winecoff <br /> Voluntary Fire District to a point in the City Limits line of the City of CcRcord~ N.C. <br /> thence in a southerly direction with the mi(~ city limits line about !~..~ miles to the <br /> point of Beginning. <br /> <br /> At a regular meetiflgtof t~ Board of Directors of the Cold Water Fire Dept., held on Earch 1~60 all of the directors signatures are attached, voted to abide by resolution made by <br /> CabarrUs County Board of Commissioners passed Rarc~-.21, 1~60 in regard to the boundaries affecting <br /> Cold Water Fire Department. <br /> <br /> Board of Directors: <br /> Samuel I Parker 1 year iClyde~D.Cook 2 years <br /> Roy ~ Casper 3 years Troy R~v Cook 3 years <br /> R.
