<br /> at the Courthouse,with the following members present:
<br /> Chairman: W.Frank McCray
<br />
<br /> Commissioners: P.Ernest Stallings, M. Smoot Lyles, L Bo~nanBarrier and W.Guy Isenhour
<br />
<br /> Motion by P.Ernest Stallings, seconded by L.Bo~anan Barrier that the tenative tax rate of
<br /> ~1.09 per $100.00 be set for the year 1960-1961.
<br />
<br /> "A special meeting of the Sanitary District Board of the Royal Oaks Sanitary District was
<br /> ~eld in Room 5!5 Professional Building, Kannapolis, North Carolina, on June 16, 1950, at 7:00
<br /> )'clock P M.
<br /> Present:George W.Gillon,Chairman, C. Harold Graham, Secretary and Norris Dearmon.
<br /> = Absent: None.
<br />
<br /> Harold C.Graham introduced the following resolution which was read:
<br /> RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE REQUESTED TAX RATE TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY CO~tlSSION~RS OF CABARRUS
<br /> :OUNTY, NORT~ CAROLINA
<br /> Whereas, the Royal Oaks Sanitary District Board has met and, in compliance with North
<br /> 3arolina Genera/ Statutes 130-~9, has determined the amount of funds n~eessary to be raised by tax
<br /> ~ssessment and has determined thenumber of cents per one hundred dollars property valuation necessar~
<br /> :o raise said amount;
<br />
<br /> And whereas, the Sanitary District Board now desires to certify to the Board of County
<br /> Iommissioners of Cabarrus County, North Carolina, the number of cents per one hundred dollars proper:y
<br /> ~aluatton to be levied as a tax for the Royal Oaks Sanitary District;
<br />
<br /> And whereas, the Royal Oaks 8~ltitary District Board has found that the said tax rate for the
<br /> ear 1960 should be 25 cents per one hundred dollars property valuation;
<br />
<br /> Now, therefore, be it hereby ~esolved:
<br /> Section 1. That the Royal Oaks Sanitary District Board, in compliance with the above
<br /> ~ntioned statute, does hereby certify to the Board of County Commissioners of Cabarrus County,
<br /> {orth Carolina, that for the year 1960 it requests said Board of County Commissioners to introduce t
<br /> [ts annual levy the sum of 25 cents per one hundred dollars property valuation to be levied
<br /> ~gainst all taxable property within the District, said funds to be collected the County Tax
<br /> Iollector and turned over to the Royal Oaks Sanitary District as provided in General Statutes 130-49!
<br /> Section 2. That the Secretary of th e Sanitary District Board forward a certified copy of thi res-
<br /> ~lution to the Board of County Commissioners of Cabarrus County, North Carolina.
<br />
<br /> Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from the date of its passage.
<br />
<br /> Upon motion of C. Harold Graham, seconded by Norris Dearmon, the foregoing resolution
<br /> intitled:"RESOLUTION CERTIFTINGTHR REQUESTED TAX RATE TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY C(I~dlSSIONERS OF
<br /> 'ABARRUS COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA," was passed by the following vote:

<br /> Ayes:George W.Gillon,C. Harold Graham, and Norris Dearmon.

<br /> I, C. Harold Graham,Secretary of the Sanitary District Board of Royal Oaks Sanitary District,
<br /> nCabarrus County, North Carolina, do hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy
<br /> .f the minutes of a meeting of said Sanitary District Board held on June 16, 1960.

<br /> Motion by W.Guy Isenhour, seconded by L.Bowman Barrier, that the Royal Oak Sanitary
<br />
<br /> lstrict tax rate for the year 1960-1961 be.25 cents on the $100.00.
<br />
<br /> Mr. J. H. Harward, County Ascountant presented a tentatave budget for Cabarrus County to
<br /> the CabarrusCounty Commissioners.
<br /> There being no further business, the board adjorned to meet at their next regular meeting.
