The Cabarrus County Commissioners held their regular monthly meeting on J_u~ly 3_,~. 1961 at the <br /> Courthouse at 10:00 A M with the followin§ members present: <br /> Chairman: W.Frank McCray <br /> <br /> Commissione9s: L.Bowman Barrier, M. Smoot Lyles, W. ~uy Isenhour and P.Ernest Stallings <br /> <br /> Motion by L.Bowman Barrizr, seconded by P. Ernest Stallings that the following road petition <br /> <br /> be passed and mailed to the State Highway Public Work's Comm. in Albemarle, N.C.: <br /> No. 4 Township- Oeorgia St. Surface Treatment <br /> <br /> Williamsburg Road- Rt. 3 Concord off Burrafe Road- Request for Addition <br /> <br /> Mt. Pleasant Disposal Plant Road Request for Addition <br /> <br /> Motion by M.Smoot Lyle's, seconded by P. Ernest Stallings that R.C. Harris, be reappointed <br /> County Tax Supervisor for two years~ Voted on and carried. <br /> <br /> Motion by W. Cn~y Isenhour seconded by L.Bowman Barrier, that B.S.Brown Jr., be reappointed <br /> <br /> Domestic Relation Court Judge for two years. Voted on and Sarried. <br /> <br /> MOtion by W.Guy Isenhour seconded by M.Smoot Lyles that Royal Oaks Sanitary District <br /> <br /> Sanitary Tax be 65 cents on the hundred, this motion was made on recommendation of Royal Oaks <br /> <br /> Sanitary District Board. This was voted on and carried. <br /> <br /> On Motion of Commissioner M.Smoot Lyles, seconded by Commissioner W.Guy Isenhour, the forego n§ <br /> <br /> resolution entitled :"RESOLUTION PROVIDINO FOR THE LEVY OF TAXES FOR THE PARKWOOD SAN/TARY <br /> <br /> DISTRICT" was passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes: W. Frank McCray, Chairman, Commissioners, L.Bowman Barrier, M.Smoot Lyles, W.Ouy Isenho~r <br /> <br /> and P.Ernest Stallings." <br /> Noes: None <br /> <br /> "RESOLUTION PROVIDINO FOR THE LEVY OF TAXES FOR THE PARKWOOD SANITARY~'DI~CT" <br /> <br /> WHERFJiS the following resolution, passed by the Sanitary District Board of the Parkwood <br /> <br /> Sanitary District on the 23rd day of June, 1961, has been received by the Board of Commissioners <br /> <br /> for the County of Cabarrus: <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED. By the Sanitary District .Board of Parkwood ~nitary District: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Ssnitary District Board has determined and does hereby find and declare: ~ <br /> (a) That the funds available from surplus.operating revenues as provided by G.S. 130-14h are~ot <br /> sufficient for the payment of interest and the retiruement of the District's Bonds ~ <br /> <br /> (b) That the assess~ld valuations of the property with the limits of the Parkwood Sanitary <br /> District amount to approximately $966,000.00. <br /> <br /> (c) That a levy of fifteen cents (!5~) per one hundred dollars ($100.00) valuation will <br /> lb~oduce approximately fourteen hundred, fifty dollars ($1,450.00) revenue. <br /> <br /> (d) That barring unforeseen and unanticipated expenses the sum of fourteen hundred, fifty <br /> dollars ($1,450.00) should be ample to meet all obligations of the district during th~ fiscal y~ar <br /> 1961-1962. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Secretary of the Parkwood Sanitary District Board certify tothe Board ~ <br />of County Commissioners for CabarrUs County, North Carolina, that the Parkwood Sanitary District Board <br />has determined that a levyof fifteen cents (15~) per one hundred Dollars ($100.00) valuation of <br />property within the district limits is necessary to raise the amount needed to meet the current i <br />0b'ilgations of said district, and request that said amount be included in the next annual levy to <br />be determined by the Board of County Commissioners and collected as other county taxes as provided <br /> <br /> <br />
