The Cabarrus County Commissioners held their regular monthly meeting on December <br /> <br /> 3, 1962 at 10:00 A M at the Courthouse with the following members present: <br /> Chairman- W. Frank McCray <br /> <br /> Commissioners: M.Smoot Lyles, W.C~ Isenhour, P.Ernest Stallings and L Bowman Barrier <br /> <br /> Motion by L.Bowman Barrier seconded by W.Guy Isenhour that we accept the audit <br /> <br /> of W.D. Ratchford Jr., Clerk of Superior Court, a ndaccording to law, because of his election <br /> as Ex Officio Clerk, re-appoint him Clerk of Recorder's Court of Cabarrus County. <br /> <br /> The following resolutinn was presented <br /> ~esolution appointing Coun~uditor to perform the duties of County Treasurer as <br /> provided by Chapter 868 of the session laws of North Carolina 1961. <br /> Whereas Chapter 868 of the Session Laws of North Carolina 1961 abolished the office of <br /> County Treasurer of Cabarrus County, effective as of the 1st Monday in December, 1962; <br /> And Whereas the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners were authorized by said Session <br /> Laws to require the County Auditor or any other County official to perform the duties theretofore <br /> performed by the County Treasurer. <br /> Now, Therefore, be it resolved by the Board ofcounty Commissioners of Cabarrus County <br />,-- that the duties heretofore~.performed by the Cabarrus County Treasurer be performed by the <br /> Cabarrus County Treasurer he performed hyt he Caharrus County Auditor. <br /> <br /> On Motion hy W. Guy Isenhour, seconded hy M.Smoot LYles that ~ff~oing resolution <br /> ~e adopted. The resulution was voted on and unaminously adopted. <br /> <br /> Motion by W.Guy Isenhour seconded by L. Bowman Barrier, that the following Bonds be <br /> accepted: John H Harwood, for County Accountant and Treasurer. <br /> <br /> Motion hy WGuy Isenhour seconded hy L.Bowman Barrier to appoint James E.Roherts <br /> as Solicitor for Cabarrus County Recorders Court. <br /> <br /> Motion by L.
