The Cabarrus County Commissioners met at a call meeting on February 11, 1963 at 10:00 A M <br /> <br />at the Courthouse with the following members present: <br /> Chairman: Frank Names <br /> <br /> Commissioners: Oren Hill, W.Frank McCray and McNeil Petrea <br /> <br /> Absent: M.Smoot Lyles <br /> <br /> Motion by Oren Hill seconded by McNeil Petrea to appoint Robert Miller, Helen Drive <br /> <br />for electrial inspector for Cabarrus County- affective as bf March 1,1963. <br /> <br /> Voted for- Frank James, Oren Hill and McNeil Petrea <br /> <br /> Voted against- Frank McCray <br /> <br /> Motion by NcNeil Petrea and Seconded by Oren Hill that Leon Overcash be appointed dog <br />catcher for 6abarrus County as of March 1, 1963. <br /> <br /> Voted for- Frank James, Oren Hill and McNeil ~etrea <br /> <br /> Voted against- Frank McCray <br /> <br /> Motion by Oren Hill, seconded by McNeil Petrea that Ooie Hancock be appointed secretary <br /> <br />tothe Board of County Commissioners, affective as of March 1, 1963. <br /> Voted for- Frank James, Oren Hill and McNeil Petrea <br /> Voted against- Frank McCray <br /> <br /> Motion by Oren Hill, seconded by McNeil Petrea to ask our State Representatives to the <br /> <br />LeDislature to put the Clerk Superior Court and the Register of Deeds for Cabarrus County on a <br />Salary when their terms expire. <br /> Voted on and carried. <br /> <br /> Motion by McNeil Petrea and Seconded by Oren Hill asking for a resolution for the County <br /> <br />Welfare Board, asking Mr. Fsrrell White to turn in his-resignation. <br /> Voted for Frank James, Oren Hill and McNeil Petrea <br /> Voted against- Frank McCray <br /> <br /> There being no further businessthe board adjourned. <br /> <br /> Clerk to Board <br /> <br /> <br />
