NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br /> PETiTiON FOR THE CREATION OF THE TERRITORY <br /> HERE~N DESCRIBED AS A SANITARY D~STRICT <br /> <br />To the Board of Comm~ssioners for the County of Cabarrus: <br /> <br /> We, the undersi~ned, being resident freeholders w~thin <br /> <br />the boundaries of the territory described below, respectfully <br />petition chat such territory be created as a sanitary district <br />and Chat the Board of Comn~ssioners for the County of Cabarrus, <br />North Carolina, being the County in which the major portion of <br />the petitioning freeholders are located, and the Board of Com- <br />missioners for the County of Rowan, North Carolina, in which <br />County a portion of the proposed district lies, cake all necessary <br />action required by Article 12 of Chapter 130 of the General <br />Statutes of North Carolina for the creation of a sanitary district <br />comprising such territory, the objects proposed to be accomplished <br />by the creation of such district being the .a~quisition, construction, <br />reconstruction, enlargement of, additions and extensions to, and <br />the maintenance and operation of, a water system or systems, a <br />sanitary sewer system or systems, sewage disposal or trea~nenc <br />plants, fire protection facilities and such other utilities as may <br />be necessary and now or hereafter authorized by law for the preserva- <br />tion and promotion of the public health and sanitary welfare within <br />the district. <br /> <br /> The territory proposed to be included in such sanitary <br />district is located in Cabarrus County and Rowan CounCy~ North <br />Carolina. /and the boundaries of such territory are as follows:- <br /> <br /> <br />
