Mr. J. Carlyle Rutledge was recognized. He stated that he endorsed the plans for the pro- <br />posed district and praised all of the individuals for their fine work in working out all of the <br />plans. <br /> <br /> Mr. Cote then asked if there were any questions concerning the proposed district, and there <br />being none, he stated that he would report the results of his findings to the State Board of <br />Health. <br /> <br /> Thereupon Commissioner M. Smoot Lyles introduced the following resolution which was read: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION CONCERNING CREATION OF A SANITARY DISTRICT <br /> IN CABARRUS AND ROWAN COUNTIES <br /> <br /> Wlt~REAS~ a petition proposing the creation of sanitary district in Cabarrus and Rowan Counties <br />was filed with the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus on April 1, 1963, which <br />petition is set forth in the minutes of the April 1, 1963 meeting of said Board, such minutes <br /> <br />being recorded in Volume 14 of the minutes of said Board, beginning at page 124 and ending <br /> <br />at page 1.54; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Board of Commissioners deems it advisable to comply with the request <br />of the petition mentioned above f~r the creation of & sanitary district in Cabarrus and Rowan <br />Counties and does hereby determine that such sanitary district for the purposes stated in said <br />petition should be created and established as a sanitary district pursuant to Article 12 of <br />Chapter 130 of the General Statutes of North Carolina. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of the Board of Commissioners is hereby directed to certify <br />immediately a cop of this resolution to the Board of Commissioners for the County of Rowan and <br />the State Health Director of the North Carolina State Board of Health. <br /> <br /> Co~...issioner M.
