174 <br /> <br /> .The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners met at a call meeting Thursday, June 20, 1963, <br /> at ?~30 P.M., at the Cabarrus County Courthouse. <br /> <br /> Present: Chairman, Frank James <br /> <br /> Commissioners, Oren Hill, McNeil Petrea, Frank McCray, Smoot Lyles <br /> <br /> Meeting called to order by Chairman James and the estimated budget figures were submitted <br /> <br /> by the County Accountant, and the budget was examined by the Commissioners. <br /> <br /> Motion by McNeil Petrea, Seconded by Oren Hill to set the tentative tax rate at $1.10 for <br /> fiscal year 1963-6h. <br /> <br /> Voted yes: James, Hill Petrea <br /> <br /> Voted no: McCray, Lyles <br /> <br /> Commissioners agreed to put ad in paper for meals for prisoners to ran three days. <br /> <br /> County Accountant was told to write letters to each department head advising of the items <br /> set up in their budgets. <br /> <br /> Having no further business, the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> Cloie Hancock <br /> Clerk to Board <br /> <br /> <br />
