Kilpatriek and was read: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE CANVASSING <br /> OF THE RETURNS OF TH~ SPECIAL BOND ELEC' <br /> TION HELD AUGUST 4, 1964 AND DET~RMIN- <br /> INGAND D~CLARING TH~ RESULT THEREOF <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the County Board of Elections of <br /> <br /> County of Cabarrus: <br /> <br /> Section 1. ThE returns of the special bond election <br /> <br /> held in the Count, y of Cabarrus on August 4, 1964 having been re- <br /> ceived from the proper election officers and having been canvass4d <br /> the Board has found and determined and does hereby declare~ <br /> <br /> (a) That each registrar and judge for the special ond <br /> <br /> election held in the County of Cabarrus on August 4, 1964 was <br /> <br /> duly qualified by law and had ~aken the necessary oath. <br /> <br /> (b) That the election officers had incorporated in their <br /> <br /> returns not only the nun~er of votes cast for and against the quets. <br /> tion submitted but also the number of voters registered and quali% <br /> fled to vote in each precinct in the election. <br /> <br /> (c) That at said election there was submitted to the <br /> <br /> qualified voters of said County the following question: <br /> <br /> Shall an order finally passed on June 22, 1964, <br /> authorizing the County of Cabarrus, North Caro- <br /> lina, to contract a debt, in addition to any and <br /> all other debt which said County may now or here- <br /> after have power or authority to contract, and in <br /> evidence thereof to issue School Building Bonds <br /> in an aggregate principal amount not exceeding, <br /> $6,000,000 for the~purpose of providing funds, <br /> with any other available funds, for erecting addi- <br /> tional school buildings and other school plant fa- <br /> cilities, remodeling, enlarging and reconstructing <br /> existing school buildings and other school Plant <br /> facilities and acquiring necessary land and equip- <br /> ment therefor to provide additional school facili- <br /> ties in the County of Cabarrus to maintain the six <br /> months' school term in said County as required bY <br /> Section 3 of Article IX of the Constitution, and <br /> <br /> -2- <br /> <br /> <br />
