The Cabarrus County Commissioners met at a call meeting Tuesday, Sept. 1, 1964, <br />at 7:30 p.m. at the Courthouse. <br />Present: Chairman, C. Frank James <br /> <br /> Commissioners, McNeil Petrea, Frank McCray, Smoot Lyles <br /> <br />Absent: Commissioner, Oren Hill <br /> <br /> The Cabarrus County School Board met with the Commissioners in regards <br />to sites for two new school buildings. One site is located on Hwy. 73 and <br />one site on Hwy. 49. Petrea made motion, seconded by Lyles to approve the <br />site on Hwy 73, which includes 67 acres, and the price to be paid is not to <br />exceed $500. per acre. Vote carried.
