The Cabarrus County Commissioners met at a call meeting Wednesday, December 23, 1964, at 3~00 p.m.

<br />Absent: Commissioner, McNeil Petrea

<br /> Meettr~ called to order by Chairman James. Dan Cochran was sworn in as constable for
<br />Township #2.
<br />
<br /> The City School Board presented the following resolution which they requested be adopted:
<br />
<br /> "The following Resolution was presented by Smoot L},les , , seconded .by Oren Hill'
<br />
<br /> and duly adopted by a vote of 4 for said Resolution and 0 against said Resolutions
<br /> Whereas, there remains in the Cabarrus County School Building Pm~d allocated to the Beverly
<br /> Hills School, Concord City School Unit, the sum of $15,263.87, which said sum resulted by reason
<br /> of savings affected by the Concord City Board of Education in building additions to said Beverly
<br /> Hi 11 s School;
<br /> And Whereas, the said Concord City Board of Bducatton is currently commencing a school
<br /> building program in keeping with the recent Bond Election held in Cabarrus County;
<br /> And Whereas, the Concord City;Board of Education is presently in need of funds for architect
<br /> fees and surveyor's account for services rendered during the current calender year in connection
<br /> with said b~ildtn9 program.
<br /> Now, therefore, be it resolved:
<br /> 1. That the aforesaid sum of $15,263.87 in the Cabarrus County School Building l~nd
<br /> allocated to the Beverly Hills School, Concord City School Unit, be, and the same is hereby,
<br /> ordered transferred to the Capital Outlay Fund for the Concord City Board of Education; and
<br /> 2. That the County Accountant be, and he is hereby, directed to make said transfer and to
<br /> issue vouchers for same in the manner provided by law.
<br />
<br /> W. H. Beckerdite requested permission to publish in the paper Jamaary 4, 1965, the Notice
<br /> of Sale of $3,095,000 County of Cabarrus, N. C. Bonds. Hill made motion, seconded by McCray to
<br /> grant this request. Vote carried.
<br />
<br /> Hill made motion that the Farm Agent and Home Agent be given permission to use a total of
<br /> $140. ($70. each) out of their current budgets to purchase T.V. sets for educational purposes.
<br /> Lyles seconded motion and vote carried.
<br />
<br /> Hill made motion, seconded by Lyles to lease the Xerox copying machine for County offices,
<br /> at $25.00 per month plus .035 unit copy charge per copy. Vote carried.
<br />
