Attorney Mills requested the commissioners consider a copy of county maps be kept in the Register of Deeds office, also for the county to buy extra binders for these maps. Commissioners agreed for Mr. Litaker, A1 Hurt, and Mr. Mills to get together on the amount of binders needed. Petrea made motion, seconded by Lyles to grant this request and to establish a rate of 15¢ per copy for maps for lawyers if they buy an entire township. Vote carried. Mr. Crowell, Civil Defense Director, requested permission to purchase four radios to be placed throughout the county for their Civil Defense Network. State approved equipment for each station is approximately $400. and is covered under Matching Funds Program. Commissioners agreed they would have to check with the city before making any decisions. Commissioners agreed to permit the Farm Agents office to buy a mimeograph machine for their office from bids submitted.
