Mr. Goines requested this tax be waived for several <br />years until they could get more established. Mr. Haley and Mr. Brown expressed <br />the same sentiments. Oren Hill made motion, seconded by Lyles that this tax <br />be tabled for an indefinite period of time. Vote carried. <br /> <br /> Petrea made motion, seconded by Lyles that Cabarrus County Commissioners go <br />on record as endorsing the $300 million road bond issue. Vote carried. <br /> <br /> McCray made motion, seconded by Petrea to approve the following road petitiors: <br /> <br /> Meadow St. (in part) ...... Request for Addition <br /> Sossomon Springs Farms Rd. -Request for Addition <br /> Eastway Dr. Ext. & Centergrove Rd.- Request for Addition <br /> Mayfield Circle Request for Addition <br /> Gaither & Pine Request for Surface Treatment <br /> Vincent St. Request for Surface Treatment <br /> U.S. 29 ..... Request for Median Crossover <br /> <br /> Daniels and Daniels submitted their contract for approval by commissioners <br />to audit Cabarrus County's books for the year 1964-65. The amount is not to <br />exceed $3000 for this audit. Hill made motion, seconded by Petrea to award <br />Daniels and Daniels this contract. V~te carried. <br /> <br /> Hill made motion, seconded by Petrea that an appropriate resolution be <br /> <br />drawn up by Attys. W. S. Bogle and James Johnson to honor Mr. W. H. Beckerdite <br />for his service aS County Attorney and that it is to be approved by commissioners, <br />recorded in the minutes and then forwarded to his family. Vote carried. <br /> <br /> Ralph Litaker submitted a progress report and a tentative work schedule <br /> <br />from Associated Surveys Co. He also requested a permanent appraisal man be <br />hired. No decision was reached at this time on a permanent appraisal employee. <br /> <br /> American Air Surveys has requested a 45 day extension on their mapping <br /> <br />contract. Ralph Litaker recommended to commissioners to grant this request. <br />Petrea made motion, seconded by Hill to grant this extension, provided this is <br />final date. Vote carried. Ralph Litaker requested purchase of nine (9) binders ~ <br />for county maps, also a set of roller shelves for these to be placed on. The <br />cost of binders will be $29.55 each and roller shelves will be $663. per unit. <br />Commissioners granted this request. <br /> <br /> (continued) <br /> <br /> <br />
