The Cabarrus County Commissioners met at a call meeting Monday, January <br /> <br />17, 1966 at 11:30 a.m. at the Courthouse. <br /> <br />Present: Chairman, C. Frank James <br /> <br /> Commissioners, McNeil Petrea, Smoot Lyles, Frank McCray <br /> <br />Absent: Commissioners, Oren Hill <br /> <br /> Meeting called to order by Chairman James. The following resolution was <br /> <br />adopted: <br /> <br /> "On the motion of McNeil Petrea, and seconded by Smoot Lyles , the <br /> <br />following resolution was unanimously adopted: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the Office of Economic Opportunity, Washington, D.C., has <br /> <br />instituted the Community Action Program, and ~EREAS the Cabarrus County <br />Community Action Corporation has been formed in compliance with the Community <br />Action Program, <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for Oabarrus <br /> <br />County, North Carolina that Cabarrus County Community Action, Incorporated b~ <br />recognized as the official organization to receive, handle and isburse funds <br />from the office of Economic Opportunity, Washington, D.
