4, 6 <br /> <br /> The Cabarrus County Commissioners met at a call meeting Monday, June 20, 196~, <br /> <br /> at 7:30 p.m. at the Courthouse. <br /> <br /> Present: Chairman, C. Frank James <br /> <br /> Commissioners, McNeil Petrea, Oren Hill, Frank McCray <br /> <br /> Absent: Commissioner, Smoot Lyles <br /> <br /> Meeting called to order by Chairman James. Attorney Johnson submitted <br /> <br /> the following resolution. Petrea made motion, seconded by Hill to adopt same. <br /> Vote carried. <br /> <br /> "The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners hereby authorize Big l~ys <br /> Radio Station of Charlotte, North Carolina, and the Mecklenburg Jaycees, Concord <br /> Jaycees, Kannapolis Jaycees, Mount Pleasant Jaycees and Midland Jaycees to conduc~ <br /> a fire works demonstration at the Charlotte Motor Speedway on July 4, 1966, with <br /> the understanding that the proceeds derived from the fire works show will be <br /> distributed among the above Jaycee organizations as heretofore agreed to by the <br /> said organizations." <br /> <br /> Members of the County School Board were present and submitted their 1966-67 <br /> budget which was discussed. No action taken on this budget at present. <br /> <br /> Other budgets were discussed but no action taken. <br /> <br /> The next budget meeting was called for Wednesday, June 22, 1966, at 7:30 p.m ~ <br /> and also Friday afternoon, June 24, 1966 at 1:30 p.m. ~ <br /> <br /> Having no further business, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> Clerk to Board <br /> <br /> <br />
