467 <br /> <br /> The Cabarrus County Commissioners met at a call meeting Monday, July 25, 1966, <br /> <br />at 9:00 a.m. at the Courthouse. <br /> <br />Present: Chairman, C.. Frank James <br /> <br /> Commissioners, Oren Hill, McNeil Petrea, Frank McCray <br /> <br />Absent: Commissioner, Smoot Lyles <br /> <br /> Meeting called to order by Chairman James. Hill made motion, seconded by <br />Petrea to approve the Resolution Setting The Tax Rate For The Royal Oaks Sanitary <br />District at 65¢ per one hundred dollar valuation. Vote carried. (Resolution <br />on page 4~-~?) <br /> <br /> Petrea made motion, seconded by McCray to approve the Resolution Setting <br />The Tax Rate For The Kannapolis Sanitary District at 40¢ per one hundred dollar <br />valuation as submitted by the Kannapolis Sanitary District Board. Vote carried. <br />(Resolution on page <br /> <br /> Petrea made motion, seconded by Hill to appoint Attorney Calrence Horton <br />as Domestic Relations Court Judge effective August 1, 1966. This appointment <br />is to fill the unexpired term of Judge Johnson. Vote carried. <br /> <br /> Mr. J. Lee Pharr requested a new rate be established for rural commercial <br />garbage collection in order that a new type system might be installed. No <br />decision reached at this time. <br /> <br /> Hill made motion, seconded by Petrea to adopt the final Cabarrus County <br />tax rate at $1.44 per one hundred dollar valuation for the fiscal year 1966-67, <br /> <br />and the 1966-67 budget which is found on pages ~f~2_. thru _~g2..) <br /> Voted for: Hill, Petrea, James <br /> Voted against: McCray <br /> <br /> Having no further business, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> Clerk to Board <br /> <br /> <br />
