The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners met in a call meeting Monday, <br /> <br />February 20, 1966, at ?:)0 p.m. in the Courthouse. Present were: <br /> Chairman - C. Frank James <br /> <br /> Commissioners - F. J. Beasley, C. M. Petrea, Dr. R.B. Rankfn,Jr. <br /> <br /> S. Olenn Hawft¢ld. <br /> <br />Also in attendance were members of the Blue Rtbbon Planning Committee. <br />Chairman James called the meeting to order and introduced architect @eorge A. <br />Griffin, who presented the result of his feasibility study and recommendations <br />for a long range program for constructing needed buildings for the County <br />government. The plan called for the purchase of additional property on Sout~ <br />Union Street and construction of a new .lail, courthouse, and office buildings <br />in three phases. Mr. Hurt presented estimates of the necessary funding to carry <br />out the program. <br /> <br /> Following a discussion of the proposed plan, a motion was made by Rankin to <br />accept the plan as presented. Petrea seconded the motion. Vote was unanimous. <br /> <br /> James C. Johnson, Jr., Attorney for the County, presented the following <br /> <br /> resolutions: <br /> <br /> <br />
