. The Cabarrus County Commissioners met at a call meeting Tuesday, September <br /> ',17, 1968, at 7:30 p.m. with the following members present: <br />~--, Chatrman - G. Frank James <br />I Commtssloners -Dr. R. B. Rankin, Jr., C. McNeil Petrea, and <br /> C. Glenn Hawfteld, Jr. <br /> <br /> Absent -F. J. Beas ley, Jr. <br /> <br /> Mr. Joe Shue, representative of the C and M Ambulance Company, discussed with <br /> <br /> the Board the terms of a new contract. After a discussion, Rankln made motion, <br /> secondedby Petrea, to sign a new contract effective October I, 1968, authorizing <br /> the payment of $1,000 per month (an increase of $200 none than the old contract) <br /> beginning October 1, 1968, through June 30, 1969, with a provision that the books <br /> of C and M Ambulance be audited by the County Accountant immediately and by the <br /> first day of June annually thereafter. Vote carried. <br /> <br /> Mir. W. W. Hale and M~. Reid Pangle of Hale-Lawing Company and their attorney <br /> Webster Medlin discussed with the Board the lease on the building occupied by <br /> Eale-Lawtng and further verification of written notice previously received from <br /> the County notifying them that they could remain in their present quarters for <br /> the remainder of their lease. County Attorney James C. Johnson and the Board <br /> discussed the building plans in regard to the rear of the building and informed <br /> the Kale-Lawing group that the lease would remain tn effect until May, 1972. <br /> <br /> Having no further business, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />
