AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING AND PRESCRIBING FEES FOIl BUILDING <br /> ~BTD ?LU>~EING PER:.IITS AN'D INSPECTIONS. <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Cabarrus County Commissioners of Cabarrus County, <br />N. C. as follows: <br /> <br /> SECTION I. BUILDING INS?ECTIONS <br /> <br /> No application for a permit to build, construct, repair, remodel, <br /> <br />move~ or demolish a structure or building %~ithin the County of Cabarrus <br />shall be complete un%il %he Inspection Fee required under this Ordinance <br />has been paid. The fee for permits shall be based upon the floor area size, <br />and the type of materials to be used in the cons%ruction, unless otherwise <br />indicated in the foiiowinD schedule of fees ~o be charged: <br /> <br />(a) A permit to re-roof, repair, moue, or %o demolish any size structure <br /> <br /> shall be issued upon proper application for a fee of $2. <br /> <br />(b) A permit to construct and/or erect a fire escape, loading pla%form <br /> scales, marquees, advertising signs, alterations cos%lng less %hah <br /> $500.00, and accessory buildings with 400 square feet or less of <br /> floor space shall be issued for a flat minimum fee of $2. Fermi%s <br /> <br /> for alterations cos%in9 more than $500.00, and permits for all additions, <br /> shall be issued under the section pertaining to new construction. <br /> <br />(c) For the purpose of computing the fee for all other building permits, <br /> %he' to%al floor are&~6f all floors of the proposed structure shall <br /> be used.
