PETITION FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE <br /> BOUNDARIES OF THE KANNAPOLIS SANITARY DISTRICT <br /> <br />TO the Board of Commissioners: <br /> <br /> The Kannapolis Land Company, a North Carolina corporation <br />with its registered office at 216 Cabarrus Bank Building Kannapolis, <br />N. C., owner of all the land described hereinbelow, respectfully <br />petitions that all necessary action required by Article 12 of Chapter <br />130 of the General Statutes of North Carolina for the extension of <br />the boundaries of the Kannapolis Sanitary District in Cabarrus and <br />Rowan Counties be taken so as to annex said land and include the same <br />within the bo~undaries of said Kannapolis Sanitary District under the <br />authority of said Article 12 of Chapter 130 of the General Statutes <br />of North Carolina. <br /> <br /> The p'urpose of this petition is the annexation of the land or <br />territory described below to said Kannapolis Sanitary District so that <br />said district will incl~ude said territory within its boundaries, and <br />so that water and sewerage facilities and other utilities and services <br />which said district is authorized to provide may be provided in said <br />territory for the preservation and promotion of the public health and <br />sanitary welfare therein. <br /> <br /> It is understood and agreed that the petitioner will make <br />installation of the necessary water lines and sewer lines in the <br />territory hereinafter described in accordance with. the rules and <br />provisions of the District for construction of water and sewer lines <br />in new developments. <br /> <br /> ~he bo'undaries of the territory petitioned to be annexed to <br />and included in the Kannapolis Sanitary District are as follows: <br /> <br /> Beginning~at a point in the~boundary line of the Kannapolis <br /> Sanitary District, said point being the point of inter- <br /> section of the southern edge of Barnett Street with the <br /> boundary line of the Kannapolis Sanitary District, said <br /> beginning point also being 260 feet east of the point <br /> where the southern edge of Barnett Street extended inter- <br /> sects the center line of So~utb Cannon Boulevard, and runs <br /> thence in four courses and distances with the southern <br /> edge of Barnett Street as follows: (1) N. 83-10 E. 110 <br /> feet, more or less; (2) N. 81-27 E. 341.42 feet; (3) N. <br /> 82-35 E. 195.15 feet; (4) S. 60-11 E. 182.77 feet to a <br /> stake at the intersection with Aggie Avenue; thence <br /> S. 1-47 E. 286.86 feet with the western edge of Aggie <br /> Avenue to a stake; thence contin'uing with the western <br /> edge of Aggie Avenue, S. 10-46 W. 222 feet to a stake, <br /> an old corner with. Furr; thence N. 45-43 W. 27.27 feet <br /> to a stake; thence S. 44-30 W. 554 feet, more or less~ <br /> running a part of this distance with the western edge of <br /> Sharon Street, to a point where the western edge Of Sharon <br /> Street intersects the existing boundary line of the Kanna- <br /> polls Sanitary District; thence along the present boundary <br /> line of the Kannapolis Sanitary District in a northwesterly <br /> direction running parallel to and approximately 250 feet <br /> east of the center of Centergrove Road for a distance of <br /> 425 feet, more or less to a point, a corner of the <br /> Kannapolis Sanitary District bo~undary; thence continuing <br /> along the Kannapolis Sanitary District boundary line in <br /> a northerly direction running parallel to and approximately <br /> 260 feet east of the center line of South Cannon Boulevard, <br /> for a distance of 580 feet, more or less, to a point in <br /> <br /> <br />
