The Cabarrus County Commissioners met at a call meeting on Thursday, <br /> <br /> June 12, 1969, at 7:30 P.M. Present were: <br /> Chairman: C. Frank James <br /> <br /> Commissioners: Robert A. McClary, S. Glenn Hawfield, Jr., C. McNeil <br /> <br /> Petrea, and Dr. R. B. Rankin, Jr. <br /> <br /> Chairman James called the meeting to order. <br /> <br /> Mr. A1 Klimas and Dr. Ladd Hamrick appeared before the Board requesting <br /> <br /> two new positions with the Health Department. (1) A director of nursing with <br /> Master's Degree in Public Health Nursing (2) A health educator. No action was <br /> taken on these requests at this time. <br /> <br /> Commission Hawfield made motion, seconded by Rankin, to give Sheriff's <br /> Department six (6) new patrolmen and one(l) detective and one (1) additional car. <br /> Voted for: Hawfield and Rankin. Voted against: McClary. Abstained from voting: <br /> Petrea. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Rankin made motion, seconded by McClary, that the tax collector <br />~- be allowed to employ the part time deputy tax collector full time. Voted yes: <br />I Ranktn, Hawfield, and McClary. Abstained from voting: Petrea <br /> <br /> Having no further business, meettn9 adjourned. <br /> <br /> Clerk to Board <br /> <br /> <br />
