BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners, <br />meeting in regular session September 8, lg6g, does hereby endorse and <br />approve the adoption of the Local Option l~ Sales and Use Tax to be <br />submitted to the voters of C&barrus County on November 4, lg69, as <br />authorized by Chapter 1228, Session Laws of North Carolina, lg69: <br /> <br /> That approval of this sales tax will enable the Cabarrus County <br /> <br />Board of Commissioners to substantially reduce the property tax <br /> <br /> ' <br />burden; <br /> <br /> That approval will enable the Board to provide better schools, <br /> <br />better law enforcement, health care, fire protection and planning <br /> <br />for the future; <br /> <br /> That the Board of Commissioners does hereby urge the citizens <br />of Cabarrus County to help return local government back to the people <br />for a better tomorrow and a fairer distribution of the tax burden. <br /> <br /> Adopted this the 8th. day of September, 1969. <br /> <br /> <br />
