STATEMENT OF RESULT OF SPECIAL ELECTION <br /> <br /> HELD IN THE <br /> <br /> HARRISBURG FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT <br /> <br /> IN <br /> <br /> CABARRUS COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br /> ON <br /> <br /> MARCH 24, 1970 <br /> <br /> 166 voters were registered and qualified to vote at a <br /> <br /> special tax election held on March 24, 1970, in the Harrisburg <br /> <br /> Fire Protection District, in Cabarrus County, North Carolina. <br /> <br /> At said election 64 voters voted for the approval in <br /> <br /> favor of tax for fire protection in Harrisburg Fire Protection <br /> District, authorizing the levying and collecting Of a special <br /> tax on all taxable property in said district, of not exceeding <br /> 15¢ of the $100.00 valuation of the property, for the purpose <br /> of providing fire protection in said district. <br /> <br /> At said election 44 voters voted against the levying <br /> <br /> of tax for fire protection in Harrisburg Fire Protection <br /> District and the levying and collecting of a special tax <br /> on all taxable ~roperty in said district of not exceeding <br /> 15¢ of the $100.00 valuation of property for the purpose of <br /> providing fire protection in said. district. <br /> <br /> THEREFORE a majority of the qualified registered voters <br /> <br /> voting thereon at the election voted for said special levy <br /> and collection of a special tax on all taxable property in <br /> said district of not exceeding 15¢ of the $100.00 valuation <br /> of property, for the purpose of providing fire protection in <br /> said district. <br /> <br /> Jo~n Sharpe Ha~tS~ll, Chairman, Cabarrus <br />~,N$O~.D^v.S&,O,TON County Board of Elections and Supervisor <br />^~O,N.VS^~L^W Of the Election held for this Special <br />CONCORD, N.C. <br /> Purpose in the Harrisburg Fire Protection <br /> District. <br /> <br /> <br />
