STATEMENT OF R~SULT OF SPECIAL ELECT~ON <br /> HELD IN THE <br /> RIMER FIRE RROTECTION DISTRICT <br /> IN <br /> CABARRUS COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br /> ON <br /> MARCH 24, 1970 <br /> <br /> 131 voters were registered and qualified to vote at <br /> <br /> a special tax election held on March 24, 1970 in the <br /> Rimer Fire Protection District, in Cabarrus County, North <br /> Carolina. <br /> <br /> At said election 78 voters voted for the approval in <br /> <br /> favor of tax for fire protection in Rimer Fire Protection <br /> District, authorizing the levying and collecting of a special <br /> tax on all taxable property in said district, of not <br /> exceeding 15¢ of the $100.00 valuation of the property, for <br /> the purpose of providing fire protection in said district. <br /> <br /> At said election 32 voters voted against the levying <br /> <br /> of tax for fire protection in Rimer Fire Protection District <br /> and the levying and collecting of a special tax on all <br /> taxable property in said district of not exceeding 15¢ of <br /> the $100.00 valuation of property for the purpose of <br /> ~roviding fire ~rotection in said district. <br /> <br /> THEREFORE a majority 6f the qualified registered voters <br /> <br /> voting thereon at the election voted for said special levy <br /> and collection of a special tax on all taxable property in <br /> said district of not exceeding 15¢ of the $100.00 valuation <br /> of property, for the purpose of providing fire protection in <br /> said district. <br /> <br /> J~n Sharpe H~rtsell, Chairman, Cabarrus <br /> County Board of Elections and Supervisor <br /> of the Election held for this Special <br /> Purpose in the Rimer Fire Protection <br /> District. <br /> <br /> JOHNSON, DAVIS & HORTON <br /> ATTORNEYS AT LAW <br /> <br /> CONCORD.
