STATEMENT OF RESULT OF SPECIAL ELECTION <br /> <br /> HELD IN THE <br /> <br /> MT. MITCHELL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT <br /> <br /> IN <br /> <br /> CABARRUS AND ROWAN COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br /> 316 Cabarrus County voters and 96 Rowan County voters <br /> were registered and qualified to vote at a special tax <br /> election held on March 24, 1970, in the Mt. Mitchell Fire <br /> Protection District, in Cabarrus and Rowan Counties, North <br /> Carolina. <br /> <br /> At said election 183 Cabarrus County voters and 48 <br /> Rowan County voters voted for the approval in favor of <br /> tax for fire protection in Mt. Mitchell Fire Protection <br /> District, authorizing the levying and collecting of a <br /> special tax on all taxable property in said district, of <br /> not exceeding 15¢ of the $100.00 valuation of the property, <br /> for the purpose of providing fire protection in said district. <br /> <br /> At said election 90 Cabarrus County voters and 21 <br /> <br /> Rowan County voters vo~ed against the levying of tax for <br /> fire protection in Mt. Mitchell Fire Protection District <br /> and the levying and collecting of a special tax on all <br /> taxable property in said district of not exceeding 15¢ <br /> of the $100.00 valuation of property for the purpose of <br /> providing fire protection in said district. <br /> <br />JOHNSON, OAVIS & HORTON <br />ATTORNEY~ AT LAW <br /> <br /> <br />
