Permiss- <br /> <br /> ion was granted. <br /> <br /> A resolution to approve the extension for one year for Cabarrus County <br /> <br /> to participate in the Piedmont Mental Health Complex along with Anson and <br /> Union Counties , with Cabarrus County Commissioners as the Mental Health <br /> Authority in Cabarrus County was tntrdduced by County Manager Hurt. McClary <br /> made motion, seconded by Rankin, to adopt the resolution and approve the <br /> official agreement for the fiscal year 1970-71. Vote was unanimous. The <br /> <br /> agreement appears on page ~ and becomes a part of these <br /> official <br /> <br /> minutes. <br /> <br /> County Manager Hurt presented resolution requested by the State Employees <br /> <br /> Retirement System to extend for another year the Death Benefits previously <br /> included in the contribution rate for Cabarrus C~unty. Hawfield made motion, <br /> seconded by McClary, to include the death benefits as requested for the <br /> fiscal year 1970-71. Vote was unanimous. <br /> <br /> Coldwater, Allen, and Jackson Park Fire Districts requested(tax levy <br /> <br /> of Se' per $100.00 valuation for the fiscal year 1970-71 within their respect ..... <br /> ire districts. Hawfield made motion, seconded by Petrea to approve these <br /> requ.ests. Vote was unanimous. <br /> <br /> Health Director A1 Klimas discussed with the Board three payroll <br /> changes...requtred by the State Board of Health to modify the Cabarrus County <br /> pay plan in order that the County not lose approximately $7,000.00 in State <br /> aid. Ranktn made motion, seconded by Hawfteld, to approve the changes. <br /> Vote was unanimous. <br /> <br /> Having no further business, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />
