S44 <br /> <br /> Three deputies appeared before the Board (in the absence of She~ff~'~ <br /> <br />J. B. Roberts) making a request for additional men. Chairman Hawfield <br />asked McClary to meet with Sheriff J. B. Roberts and look into this need. <br />McClary will report back to the Board. <br /> <br /> Motion made by McClary, seconded by Hammett, to refund $22.30 <br /> <br />1969/1970 ad valorem taxes to James Kilgore, Apartment 901, Knoxville, <br /> <br />Tennessee. Vote was unanimous. <br /> <br /> Motion made and seconded to accept net tax due from 1959 ad valorem <br /> <br />taxes from Claude M. Weddington. Tax is to be paid by Ralph W. Caton. <br /> <br />Vote was unanimous. <br /> <br /> Motion made and seconded to enter into an agreement with the City <br /> <br />of Concord to utilize city law enforcement personnel for any emergency <br />in the county when requested by county authorities and to use Deputies <br />in Concord if needed. Attorney Boger will draw up a proposal. Vote was <br />unanimous. <br /> <br /> Alfred Brown, Mayorof~ncord, appeared before the Board, regarding <br /> <br />the widening of Means Street. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brown also suggested having a joint planning Board to eliminate <br />duplication in the County, Concord and Mount Pleasant. He suggested one <br />member of the Planning Board and one County Commissioner meet with like <br />representatives from the City of Concord and the Town of Mount Pleasant <br />to discuss the idea of a joint Planning Board. .. <br /> <br /> Having no further business, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> C l~l< t~ Board <br /> <br /> <br />
