WHEREAS, Humble Oil & Refining Company gave n0~ce <br /> <br />to the Cabarrus County Commissioners at their January 1971 meeting <br />of its intent to file a Petition under the provisions of G. S. 153-9 (17) <br />to abandon that portion of Keller Road which lies North of Lane Street <br />(S. R. 2180) and South and East of 1-85; and whereas, Notice of Petition <br />was duly published in The Concord Tribune and a copy of said notice <br />mailed to B. Elwood Durham, the only other person owning property <br />adjoining that portion of Keller Road; and whereas, said portion of <br />Kell er Road affords no access to any public road because of 1-85 and <br />the controlled access of 1-85 on Lane Street; and whereas, Humble Oil <br /> <br />& Refining Company and B. Elwood Durham appea~d at the February 1971 <br />meeting of the Cabarrus County Commissioners and agreed and asked <br />that a hearing on said petition be postponed until the March meeting and <br />said request was granted, there being no opposition to said request; and <br />whereas, at the March meeting action was postponed until the April <br />meeting pursuant to request of Mr. Durham; and whereas, this matter <br />being heard at the April 1971 meeting of the Cabarrus County Commissioners <br />upon the petition of Humble Oil & Refining Company; <br /> <br /> "BE IT RESOLVED that pursuant to the authority of G. S. <br /> <br />153-9 (17) that portion of Keller Road which lies North of Lane Street <br /> <br />(S. R. 2180) and South and East of 1-85 is hereby closed." <br /> <br /> <br />
